Movies and Harsh Reality

In the Darkness of a large movie theater, sitting back on comfortable chair, and watching fourty-foot high screen, peoples minds are taken into a whole new world and they feel like they are a part of it and they can do whatever they want. However in the real world it feels like we are still apart of the movie world or the movie world has come to us. Nothing bad happens to us, nothing hurts us or to cause harm, our life is just one big movie, and you never know what will happen next. However, in some instances, our worlds that we live in are suddenly shattered by unexpected forces.

A few days back we rembered 9/11. That day our whole world that we were in came into reality. The twin towers of the world trade center came crashing down and we watched through our own eyes the people dying right in front of us and we could not do a thing. It was not a movie anymore. We wondered who did this, we wondered how we can cope with the lost of so much life. I even wondered if I would have a normal life after such a atrocity.

Ten years later, we remember the lost and fallen that were lost that day and also remeber the heros that gave their lives for the sake of others. However as the years go by I wondered how long until people will start forgetting of what happened and will resume their own little worlds and thinking that everythings normal. We must never forget that day. The day that we stood together and living out of the worlds that we were in and seeing everything that is happening in the real world.

                                                                      Never forget.
